Making a cappella mainstream in the music industry, the talented members of Pentatonix have come to face a troubling hardship following the release of their third cover-EP.
Avi Kaplan, lead bassist for the vocal band, shared a message with fans about his immediate departure from the group.
Beginning in 2011, becoming popular on the TV series "The Sing-Off" along with their successful YouTube channel, the group has slowly shown signs of crumbling in the past few years. Front-men Mitch Grassi and Scott Hoying have their independent YouTube Channel, vocal percussionist Kevin Olusola has his own solo cello career, and finally ex-member Avi with his new band "Avriel & the Sequoias".
Assuming that Avi has left Pentatonix to focus on his new band, it is currently unknown if the group will replace the bassist for the remainder of their tour dates, if they decide to continue to them.
